Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Stir-frying is a traditional Chinese cooking technique, which involves frying ingredients in very hot oil while being stirred. This stir-fry is particularly delicious, as it is cooked in a honey hoisin sauce, with tender chicken breasts and healthy veggies.


It is super easy to make and you only have to use one pot, so there is less cleaning up to do. It has been approved by our Chefs.

Stir-Fry Honey Chicken


Makes: 4 plates

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 30 mins


Ingredients:

2 packs of instant noodles

20mL chicken stock

2tsp honey

1tsp cornflour

2 chicken breast thinly sliced

2 garlic cloves

2 whole carrots cut into sticks

200g corn kernels

2tsp hoisin sauce

2tbsp olive oil


Instructions:

1. Using a large pot, cook noodles as per packet instructions.

2. Drain noodles in a strainer and reserve empty pot.

3. In a mug, mix the following ingredients with a fork; chicken stock, honey, hoisin, and cornflour.

4. Using the reserved pot, add olive oil and brown the chicken.

4. Remove chicken from the pot and set aside in a bowl.

5. Brown garlic and carrots in the pot.

6. Deglaze the pan with 1tsp of water, add corn and return chicken to the pot.

7. Add sauce from the mug and noodles from the strainer, stir and enjoy.
