This recipe was one my partner created on a limb. We only had these ingredients, so he put his Chef's mind to work and improvised. Like always he created something spectacular and we just had to share the recipe with our Dovy family. It is so simple, yet so delicious to enjoy for an early dinner.

Tasty Bolognese Pasta with Beef Strips
Serves 2-3
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 35 mins
Total Time: 40 mins
INGREDIENTS:
250g spiral pasta
2tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 brown onion finely chopped
500g bolognese sauce
5 leafs basil roughly chopped
1/2tsp salt
1/2tsp oregano
1/2tsp pepper
1/2cup water
300g beef strips (stir fry style)
Sprinkle of parmesan cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Using a medium sized pot, cook pasta as per packet directions.
2. While waiting for the pasta to cook, finely chop onion and roughly chop basil leafs.
3. Drain water from pasta over a strainer in the sink.
4. Using the same pot over medium-high heat, brown onions in olive oil.
5. Once browned, add bolognese sauce, basil, salt, oregano, pepper and water. Let the sauce boil.
6. Once the sauce starts to boil, add beef strips and let it simmer for 20 minutes over low-medium heat.
7. Add pasta back into the bolognese sauce, stirring it through.
8. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top.
9. Enjoy!
