Quick & Easy Choc Chip Muffins

Choc Chip muffins are perfect for birthday celebrations, to have as a treat in school lunches or to bake just for fun. These choc chip muffins are soft & moist with a crackly top and are so quick & easy to make.

Choc Chip Muffins

Makes 12

Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 35 mins

MUFFIN INGREDIENTS

2 cups of plain flour

1/2 cup white sugar

3 teaspoons of baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup milk

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 egg

3/4 cup dark chocolate chips


MUFFIN TOP INGREDIENTS

1tbsp brown sugar

1tbsp white sugar


INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a 12 muffin cup tray or line with baking cups.

2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, chocolate chips & salt, with a spatula and mix well.

3. In a small bowl, combine milk, oil and egg, with electric beaters.

4. Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until batter has moistened & combined.

5. With a spoon, fill the muffins cups 2/3 full with batter.

6. Sprinkle tops with muffin top sugar combination.

7. Bake for 20 mins & enjoy.

TIP: To check if muffins are ready insert a toothpick or fork into the centre, if it comes out clean this means they are ready.
